“Actually, no…I haven’t heard anything else. But The Captains brother was taken and he was a victim of the crime. I wanted to look in deeper but I’d just keep getting caught.” Minoia sat down on the ground and sighed.
Lethogar chuckled slightly with sarcasm. “But after that she was taken somewhere…I…” This was very hard for him; telling Midoriko’s close friends that Midoriko is dead. He sighed and continued. “I had a dream last night…I heard her scream…I woke up and I could smell her blood.” Minoia, Quaff and Nessa didn’t know what to say. Every positive emotion, every breath, every word was gone from their mouths, their face. It was quiet for a moment. Lethogar’s head was down; he didn’t want to look up at them…for he knew the pain they were in. Minoia placed her hand on Lethogar’s shoulder. “Lethogar, I have known Midoriko for years. Longer then any of you have. I know Midoriko is strong, she is still alive.” Lethogar’s face raised up quickly and he grabbed her shoulders. “HOW WOULD YOU KNOW THIS?!” Minoia gasped; Quaff and Nessa began to pull Lethogar away from her. “I should have said something…But, do you guys already know about her darker side?”
“Darker side?” They all said at the same time. Quaff began to ponder. “Actually, that William guy said something about her having a darker side…but what about it?”
“Well…a lot of people have been after her darker power…A long time ago when Mido was a baby; a Demonic Dragon cursed her with a darker power. It didn’t seem that much of a threat in that time, because of the light water demon energy dormant inside of her; it kept the dark powers at bay. When I left Mido, Zero, Ketu and Shadow, I went to do some research about any legends containing such powers. I found out that the power that the Demonic Dragon gave to her was actually powers of the Queen of Darkness. If unleashed…well, Midoriko’s figure would change. She won’t remember anyone or anything…and the only way to awaken this power is with a dark stone. And if someone fused it with her, her blood sent will change.”
Lethogar’s eyes opened wide. “Then…then she might be still alive! But then again…if so, she wont be herself…is there any way we can bring her back to her old self?”
“Well, when I was reading on in the legend, only a loved one can remove park of the stones spell. And once that happens, and then you destroy the stone inside of her.”
Quaff stretched. “Well that doesn’t seem too hard to do.”
“Well…it is hard…the dark powers inside of her can play tricks on her, and even slowly remove anything that she remembered about her lover. I’m guessing that would be you, Lethogar.”
Looking at Minoia for sometime; Lethogar was thinking, trying to figure out what to do. “We’ll have to make a plan to try and save her…But wait…wouldn’t they keep her in the other world while her memory was erasing?”
“That’s a possibility.” Minoia began to walk out of the ally way and toward the street. “Lethogar, how did Midoriko vanish?”
“Through a dark door.” He said with confidence.
“Alright, all we need to do is wait and see if a dark door appears. When one does, we have to get through it, find Midoriko and get her out of there. If not then her memory rate will decrease faster.”
They all nodded in agreement.
While Midoriko’s friends where planning to save her; Midoriko, now the Queen of Darkness, was planning their deaths. "Lord Adarias...Why have you summoned me to this place..." The heartless eyes slowly turned and faced him. He looked at her and grinned. "We have been waiting for you for centuries, Xanaphia..."
“Waiting for me? What year is it?” She slowly turned her head and looked at him with questioning eyes. “It’s the year of your rebirth.” She turned away for a moment. Using her dark powers she created a dark mirror and looked at herself. She changed it so she could see inside the body. Inside was Midoriko, wandering, trapped inside the body. “I was placed within a human?”
Adarias laughed. “No a water demon. The last of its kind.” She grinned and began to laugh. Adarias was a bit confused for a moment. She slowly turned and looked at him. “Knowing I have taken his Daughter’s body makes me very happy.”
Remember the past for her was just yesterday, when The Queen of darkness was betrayed by one of her loyal servants. His name was Damien, a half Human half Dark Dragon; he had the brains and also the bronze. She had ordered him to kill Zero because she had found out he was a spy for the outsiders. The outsiders were a bunch of different breeds and types of demons. Fire, Earth, wind, Holy, Shadow, and also Water. Midoriko’s mother was one of those outsiders, Zero and Damien both loved her, and Damien knew if he killed his best friend, he would have to kill her too. Although he never told neither Damien nor Midoriko’s mother; he had no reason to kill Zero.
He declined the order and turned on The Queen of Darkness. Damien, Zero, Midoriko’s mother, Haiti the Demonic Earth Neko, Zyphix the fire demon, and Ketu the Shadow Dragon used their magic to send the queen of darkness into another dimension.
A few years have passed; Zero went his own way with Ketu, Midoriko’s mother and Damien got married. Then, Midoriko was born. When Lord Adarias heard of this, he sent a Dragonic demon after Midoriko and was ordered to place the soul of The Queen of Darkness within her body. The curse wasn’t fully effective towards Midoriko; and it couldn’t come through right away.
When Damien’s kingdom was under siege by the order of Lord Adarias; Damian had to request that Zero, his best friend would take care of Midoriko. He accepted, and to this day she is a full grown Water demon, like her mother once was.
