Be part of a "Santa" network with Santas, Mrs. Santas, Elves, Helpers, Event Planners, Promotional Firms, and those who work in the Christmas Holiday Industry. Santas Across the Globe was founded in 2002 by Tom Kliner (Santa Tom) and is believed to be the world's first for amateur and professional Santa's etc.. to incorporate localized chapters called Wreaths. We're now several years old and there is a wealth of experience present in the pleasure and business of Santa. The goal of this group through the localized internet Wreath is to soon hold local meetings and an International convention. Our focus is Santa/Christmas related articles and information.
Similar to the IBM Rings, a localized Wreath would be able to meet regularly for discussion on all types of Christmas related topics. These ideas could be shared with the main group for discussion amongst another group with maybe a different angle or need. For example: Using a sleigh or reindeer would be very different if one group where in Sao Paulo, Brazil vs. another in Tuktoyacktuk, NWT. Meeting physically also enables you to partake in lectures. guest speakers, invited costumers, event planners, suppliers... basically hands on networking.
Local wreaths may be formed for major cities or by geographical area. Some existing groups may already qualify if interested. All members would and should be members of Santas Across the Globe to participate in the full information exchange, on-line magazine and international convention. Those who have been accepted into the international organization may apply for membership in the Kris Kringle Society and the Santa Claus Hall of Fame. Applications would be voted on for approval by members. International and local participation is open to anyone 18 years of age or older who has a sincere interest in the magic of Christmas.
Wreath groups must be open to all for viewing but have a managed membership to retain a "Christmas" membership.
