ALL ABOUT RACHAEL

 

WHO IS RACHAEL?

Rachael Carpani was born in 1980 (25 this year - we think September sometime!) in Sydney, Australia. Her parents are Tony and Gael Carpani, dad being Italian while her mum is Australian. Rachael was brought up on five acres in Dural, NSW with her younger brother and sister and went on to attend Hills Grammer in Sydney.

It was there she was bitten by the acting bug having an agent and getting bit parts in commercials and drama's such as Home and Away and All Saints. Her family was academically inclined and Rachael was happy focusing on her studies and simply using acting as a side hobby. A result over 90 in her HSC, in which she performed 'To Die For' in her practical drama exam allowed her to study a Bahelor of Arts, Media and Cultral Studies at Macquarie University. This included performace studies, in which she majored in writing.

On getting the part of Jodi Fountain in 2001, Rachael deferred her last year. She hopes to return and complete her degree at some point. She originally shared a home with Jessica Napier in North Adelaide, but with Jess now gone, she shares with new recruit Michala Banas in a swanky North Adelaide apartment. Rachael is currently dating AFL Football star Chad Cornes who plays in the 2004 Premiership side, Port Adelaide. Rachael was first seen with him at the 2004 Brownlow Medal count in September.

• Rachael has a broad music taste which currently covers Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Jet and hip/hop. She was once obsessed with Eminem.
• If Rachael was stuck in the Celebrity Big Brother house she would want Roy & HG, Rove McManus and Shaun Micallef with her.
• She would like to 'accidentally' knock Stan Zemanek over the head!
• Rachael's favourite television shows are ER and Seinfield.
• Rachael's ideal role would be on a sketch comedy show.
• Rachael thinks Rove McManus is television's biggest heart-throb.
• Rachael is currently dating Port Adelaide AFL Star Chad Cornes. He came close to winning the Brownlow medal in 2004 at which Rachael was in attendance in Adelaide.
