Hi everyone. I am wondering whether to get a flu shot or not. I have
always done so in the past, but now I am not so sure. I'm not sure
because there are indications my immune system may be wholly or partly
responsible for some of my problems. For example, when my ALS
symptoms started in late 2004, the first blood test was normal except
for a high level of monocytes, and in the summer of 2005 my IgM Lyme
test was positive even though I've had Lyme for 12 years. (IgM should
have converted to IgG by now . . .?) Anyway, I've read that some
ingredients in the flu vaccine stimulate the immune system, and that's
the last thing I want to do. Any ideas? My wife and 2 daughters have
gotten the flu shot, so perhaps that makes me less likely to get the
flu, but I'm still wondering.

What is going on with the red blood cells?
Look, and look and look
Asking your doctor to check the size and shape of red blood cells is a good idea because red blood cell fragility may be a consequence of chemical poisoning, particularly 2-Butoxyethanol or 'butyl ethers' Shares one so affected, "The red blood cells become round-like, rather than hourglass shaped (an exaggeration of configuration)." "The change in shape is caused from the outer membrane becoming weakened, losing its ability to hold its elasticity." Others have found their red blood cells to be too small. 8-24-05 link Are mature red blood cells 'ragged and beat up?' |
