Source | | Lots of things are autoimmune Now I'm going to add meningitis to the list | “Pugh first became ill Thursday with flu-like symptoms while attending classes at the Mansfield campus of The Ohio State University,” said Jacqueline Fletcher, director of nursing for the health department. “On Friday, she was too sick to attend classes and went to see a Fredericktown doctor, where meningitis was first suspected. She was transported immediately by EMS to Knox Community Hospital, where meningitis was confirmed and helicopter transport to Columbus was arranged.”
Fletcher said she died shortly after arriving at the OSU Medical Center.
“From all indications this is an isolated case,” said Fletcher. “And all of the public health prevention measures have been implemented.”
Meningitis is an infection of the fluid of a person’s spinal cord and the fluid that surrounds the brain. People sometimes refer to it as spinal meningitis. It is usually caused by a viral or bacterial infection with a bacteria infection being more serious.
Bacterial meningitis is contagious and can be spread by nasal and throat secretions in close personal contact such as coughing, sneezing or sharing of eating utensils according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It is not considered an airborne disease and can only be spread through prolonged contact with an infected individual.
Many people carry the bacterium that causes meningitis, but never develop the symptoms, said Fletcher. An autoimmune causing chemical exposure that 'looks like the flu" is 2-butoxyethanol ... very common in paint, cleaning products ... used in the home; in military.

I didn't share this ... but
there would be other odd symptoms, too There is a pattern to the poisoning of 2-butoxyethanol. Someone could have come around who was breathing the fumes out in their respiration ... that got into her eyes... OR she could have been using Spot Shot Carpet cleaner to clean her carpet (that product is 25% 2-butoxyethanol) and the warnings on the chemical say, "Do not mist' Not that products give the appropriate warnings Paint products often just say, 'Do not ingest'
