PAUL McCARTNEY

Problems in the past may well have caused worries where health was also concerned. This was a time when Paul needed to realise who those were that was using him.

At present there are signs of hold-ups and Paul really needs to consider his plans carefully. This is a time to restore a balance to his life. Restraint with those may be needed who Paul may think are being over-critical.

No quick results can be seen over the next few weeks and Paul will need to let some things take their own course as he will only make things more difficult if he tries to intervene.

Missed opportunities are likely in the future which will give cause for disappointment. However, there are many changes to be seen bringing much happiness whether this be in the form of material gains or of a more emotional nature. Whichever way things may go there are ultimate changes afoot for Paul in the future.

PETE DOHERTY

Pete needed to make major changes in his life. Success was there with him having to attune to his own instincts.

At present what is needed is change but Pete needs all the help and support he can get to go through with what requires sacrificing some of his usual habits and routine.

Over the next several weeks Pete needs to be aware of what is going on around him and take note of what is being said and done during meetings and even chance encounters.

If Pete recognises an opportunity when it comes along, there are major achievements to be had. However, things must change if he is to put that dark tunnel behind him, in a way reinventing himself. Unwanted influences often come with change but the opportunities could be greater than not to take them up, so long as Pete can control his emotions. There are signs of a relationship bringing its blessings that could see Pete announcing an engagement sometime next year.

JENNIFER ANISTON

In the past there would have been problems with a personal relationship. Jennifer may have made the effort to make things work but as often occurs, the hoped for outcome would have eluded her.

At present some part of her life that was not going well will be seeing a turn around, there will be a new clarity and Jennifer will know how and who is to blame.

Problems with communication could be a burden over the next few weeks with messages being lost, unreturned calls and a journey finding little success.

Jennifer should not go beyond her means or capabilities and take advice from those she trusts as her instincts may not guide her wisely. Persistent effort will be needed as taking the right action may cause Jennifer some worries. There is also an indication of a move which would in the long-term lead to improving her situation as this would be the time to prepare for the good fortune that is awaiting her.

JOHNNY DEPP

The old ways had to change and even relationships placed to one side for things to get better.

At present a missed opportunity may be cause for concern. A missed appointment or Johnny’s absence from some important event may later lead to speculation and rumour.

Johnny will need to express himself in a creative way but be cautious of what he says and does as there are those who would easily twist his words. At such a time making no comment could be seen as a win.

A romantic relationship could well be strengthened by working together but Johnny will also need to make his views clear on what he wants. The old ways will change as Johnny cannot keep repeating the old without incurring losses. He should not expect too much and may even have to concentrate on other things in his life that need his attention. There are the inevitable delays where some project is concerned and Johnny will need to be patient while carefully considering his plans.

Halloween is always the time to find out if you will acquire a sweetheart or spouse over the coming months. The list below is a mixed bag of what you could try, that is if you dare!

Either male or female can try this on Halloween, so long as they are single of course.

Set out three dishes, these usually being placed in the hearth or by the fire. One should contain clean water, the second foul water (this can be achieved by using dish water or even adding food colouring) and the third dish remains empty.

Setting out the dishes in random order, a person seeking their true love is blindfolded and brought to the dishes. They place their hand, without prompting, into one of the dishes. This is done three times with the dishes being rearranged.

Clear water means a maid or good match.

Foul water indicates they will marry someone widowed, or for this generation even divorced.

The empty dish means no marriage prospects for a whole year.

This is one of my favourites. This ritual is for females and should be performed alone.

A few minutes before midnight on Halloween, sit in a dark room before a mirror with only a lighted candle. At the same time eat an apple and comb your hair while looking in the mirror. It is said that at midnight your future husband should appear as though looking over your shoulder.

There is also snail divination, though with the cold weather it may be difficult to find a snail around Halloween, but if you do and place it in a cardboard box, the next morning look for anything in its trail that would resemble a letter of the alphabet as this will be the first letter of your true loves name.

And now for something a little more spooky! This could be a wish that should go unfulfilled but to see the Devil on Halloween a female should take her smock or shift and dip it in a stream of south running water. Taking the garment home, it should be hung indoors to dry. It is said the Devil will turn the smock or shift around and even kiss the owner if the smock/shift.

In some places, particular to Ireland and Scotland, it was tradition well into the 19th century to hang garlic around the house on Halloween as it was thought to keep away evil spirits.

Wild garlic cloves were also planted on the thatch above doors to bring good luck.

A piece of rowan hung or pinned to a door is also said to ward off evil.

There are two versions of this. If you catch a falling leaf before it reaches the ground, on Halloween of course, you may make a wish.

The other version is that if you catch a leaf before it touches the ground you will have a lucky day or the amount of days for each leaf caught. And if you catch 365 you will have a lucky year.
