Katina

 

I gaze at your picture,

your eyes and your smile..

such trusting and innocence

lasts, but a while..

 

The time will soon come-

reality set in;

and, what of Katina-

where do we begin??

 

A miracle happened

the day you were born;

my prayers had been answered

in unexpected form.

 

A grandchild, I wanted-

with all of my heart--

along came Katina,

fulfilling her part..

 

We knew each other,

you and I.

We took long walks

in Heavenly skies..

 

We talked of birth,

of life and death,

we talked of "Him",

who gives all breath..

 

No one knows, "The Master's Plan",

why one comes to Earth,

to hold another's hand.

 

Time and space

now keep us apart,

But--this you must know--

you are deep in my heart!!

 

The day will soon come,

when, together--we'll be,

we'll share, and we'll love

through all Eternity,,

 

So--do not dismay,

or say, "No one cares;"

especially the ones'

whose blood you do share.

 

For, Daddy does love you,

with all of his heart,

Even though, now it seems--

he's not doing his part.

 

Situations change,

 lives rearrange!!

My heart tells me,

that sometime you'll be-

walking hand in hand

with Daddy,

Beside the crystal sea!!

 

I love you, Katina!!
