Music Memory
I weep for music at Sunrise,
Rainbow colored rays-
filling my eyes.
Trying to forget heartache,
As it weaves on it's way-
Like tentacles, reaching
To grasp and to break.
Remembering words, spoken softly-
So long ago,
I had fallen to the ground,
And, the blood did flow.
"The wound will heal,
But, the scar remain;
Remain, as a warning-
And memory to reign!"
As a wonderful man,
With dignity and grace,
Did scoop me up-
To his embrace;
While soothing my tears
He dried my face!
I weep for music at Midday,
Warm breezes to gales,
Walking, alone,
through wooded trails,
Trails,marked long ago,
By children with dark eyes
Their cheeks aglow;
The "shine", still prevails-
In family legends and, stories,
And, tales.
I weep for music at Sunset,
For fireflies aglow,
With marshmallows sweet.
Haunted stories were told.
Swift were my feet,
when firelight was gone,
For, I wanted to beat--
"The Man With One Arm"!!
Lying in bed,
Branches scratch against panes,
Hearing loons on the lake,
And, an owl in the tree.
Playing ._. (dot, dash, dot),
with Marilee.
I weep for music at Midnight,
Knowing, the "Past" will remain;
But, comforted by warmth,
As I lie, to see-
That "freckled faced" little one;
Inside of me.
I weep some more--
Now, not for the lost--
But, for, what I have learned,
And, lovingly earned--
Not counting the cost.
I open the door,
For "Wisdom" to come,
With, oh-- so much more!!
