The font used for this tutorial is LIBBY SCRIPTClick Here to download.

The little bee I used is from a site that is not working right now.  Unfortunately I can't post it, but you can use anything you would like in it's place.

1. Open a new page in PSP.  If you don't know how to do that CLICK HERE

2. Click on your Text Tool and change your settings.  I used Libby Script...size 72...stroke was set to 1, both stroke and fill black. (If you would like the text thinner you can set the stroke to 0)

3. Type your text.

4. Using the selection tool draw a box around your text and click in the middle to get "marching ants" around your text.

5. Click on EFFECTS....3D EFFECTS...INNER BEVEL...enter in these settings.

6. Your text should look like this.

7. Click SELECTION...then SELECT NONE.

8. Merge your layers...click LAYERS...MERGE...then MERGE VISIBLE.

9. Right click on your merged layer in the layer palette and click on DUPLICATE.

10. Click on the eye beside your 1st layer, so that a red X goes over it.  This blocks the layer so you can't see it.

11. Make sure your copy is selected and use your FREEHAND SELECTION tool to trace around an area of your text.  I find it easier to start from the end.  Trace around a smaller area, not too small or you will have tons of frames, but don't make it too big or it will be choppy.  It should look something like this.

12. Hit DELETE on your keyboard and the area selected will disappear.

13. Right click on that layer and click on DUPLICATE.  Once again click on the eye of the 1st copy so you don't see the layer.  Click on your second copy to make sure it is selected.  (It isn't right here....the copy (2) should be selected.  I just noticed that now.  But you still get the idea.

14. Do the same thing as before and trace around another section of your text.

15. Hit delete on your keyboard.

16. Keep using these steps until you make your way thru all of the text and there is nothing on your page.  (If you need more help save the sample and open it in AS you will see all of the frames.)

17. Right click on your layer palette and click on VIEW....then ALL.  You should see the entire word.
