Played in the Drama costume room which we opened with a piece of plastic card. Only played on Sunday afternoons when we were all supposed to be out of the building. It was the perfect hiding place - we were never caught!

Raiding the Kitchen
Definitely Unofficial
1956-1961
After lights out when you thought that evreryone was asleep you would sneak down the back stairs and raid the kitchen and get whatever leftover food you get in order to supliment your meagre food rations. This was made more interesting if you wer in the outer dorm i.e Hopetoun etc, because you had to crawl under the beds in the main dorm of the House i.e. Haig. The penalty if you were caught was 6 of the cane.

Person "A" would inhale/exhale deeply and quickly for 1 minute than stand with his back to a locker. Person "B" would then give a quick, hard compression on the chest of person "A" causing them to faint. The game was to see who could stay "fainted" the longest. More of a medical experiment than a game but it was a hoot at the time. Did nothing for one guys asthma though. Could never figure out why!
