                                                                                                  The Green Junglefowl

The following pictures are of a ten to eleven month old Green Junglefowl cockerel.

 

In these pictures you can see the bladed comb just starting to develop and the single throat wattle. You can also see that the neck hackles are rounded or shell shaped instread of the normal pointed ones found in the other species of Junglefowl.

Here you can see how the feathers look going down the back to the saddle area of the cockerel. Again very distinct feather types unique to the Green Junglefowl. His shoulder areas are just coloring in now.

 

Here he is free moving and displaying his colors well as he matures. Just about every feather has a matalic shine of one color or another all over his body.
