A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments or American Bikers Aiming Toward Education A.B.A.T.E. is a national, non-profit organization. That breaks down to the regional level, which consist of one or more counties within your state. We are motorcycle riders that are acting together as a group to form a nationally recognized organization to stand up for motorcyclists rights! A.B.A.T.E. of Michigan is a Pro Choice organization. We feel that the rider should be able to choose what type and the extent of safety gear worn. Our goals are as follows. *To promote education and safety for motorcyclists. *To contribute to the community and promote a better image of motorcycle riders. *To stand up for the rights of all motorcyclists. *To fight against discriminatory legislation aimed at motorcyclists. *To inform riders as to what is going on locally and nationally. *To work toward getting legislation and funding for rider education. *To protect our individual freedoms, granted us by the constitution. Why join ABATE No matter where you live. You are a single voice! When you become a member of A.B.A.T.E. you join with thousands of other riders in you’re state, interested in the same things you are. Our membership fee’s help to pay for lobbyists in your state, as well as our nations capitol, working for you! Making your voice heard! You'll receive a monthly magazine that informs you of events and legislation that are happening in your state as well as saftey articles, riding tips and other information related to motorcycling. Just like the American Rifle Association or the American Motorcycle Association. Insurance companies and special interest groups have lobbyists working against us and they have lots of money! Join and help us fight the good fight! The fight for our rights! Meet other people in your area to ride with! Owning a motorcycle is not required! If your not fighting for your rights, you don't deserve them! If your still wondering? Indianna, Ohio, Illinois and Wisconsin have some of the highest ABATE member, to registerd motorcycle rider numbers and they have affordible insurance, modified or repealed helmet laws, laws to protect riders and rider training!
