"David Hicks" <ROTDOG61@...>wrote:   I am a veteran with ALS, however I served in the 60's.  At present I am participating in two different research groups funded by the VA, studying ALS.   I have given blood for dna analysis, and took part in a telephone interview that lasted two hours on two different days. Hopefully with enough partipation from veterans, this research will find some answers.

Margaret Diann:

I think ALS is from a lot of exposure to 2-butoxyethanol

I think this chemical is the chemical of harm for Vietnam, Korean, WWII, 'gulf war syndrome vets' and civilians with CFIDS .... all the same thing

I learned about it because it was the chemical that harmed the Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup workers AND it is a chemical exposure they share with the 'gulf war syndrome vets

My thoughts on Vets & Disability approval

http://groups.msn.com/RenalLiver/vetsdisability.msnw

Proof of harm for those with too much direct exposure is IAHA or IMHA

What we call the flu is really 2-butoxyethanol poisoning

Skeptical?

FOR HELP:

consider glyconutrient food supplements  & share this with your doctors:

Do you have any children?  How is their health?

Wonder of wonders! The 2-butoxyethanol family of chemicals are Teratogens - They harm the developing fetus

2-butoxyethanol is a Teratogen - Causes Reproductive Harm

military gets more exposure to same chemical
probably also had severe exposure to 2-butoxyethanol.

Diabetes - autoimmune

ALS - autoimmune <http://groups.msn.com/oddsnends/alsautoimmune.msnw>

It is very easy to run into 2-butoxyethanol

This chemical has also been everywhere 'asbestos' has been & should be
suspect for the soft tissue sarcomas of every kind, including lung

It is in many cleaning products, in paint; you can be exposed 2nd hand

When do you get 'flu like symptoms' or when did you?

you would have the CFIDS symptoms
<http://www.valdezlink.com/pages/flunotflu.htm#is> ...
(diabetes is often a side-effect)

And thus I suspect the chemical exposure: 2-butoxyethanol

Exposure looks like the flu

More onn this chemical and list some helps ...
