It saddens me that all the vets who have been health damaged are not compensated. I don't care if it does 'break the bank'

I was told that the VA disability claim dept/s were hopelessly behind ... and that if you have a Regional processor who was a friendly sort ... they almost always APPROVE claims. That the backlog pile of claims is a mile high on Processors' desks ... and that it is almost like they have to have a certain quota of claims which are DENIED. Not based on the merits of the case, per se. If you have a 'grouchy' personality for a Processor, you are most likely going to be Denied.

Sad story.

To think of how ill many are, and that somehow they 'fall in the cracks' and are not helped is heartbreaking, if you ask me.

I consider these the symptoms that civilians & military would have

if there was too much exposure to the 2-butoxyethanol chemical

For those who have died ... have the next of kin get copies of their medical records

Look for this pattern. The primary chemical of harm has a distinctive pattern

I think 'gulf war syndrome' vets should have all of these as preapproved, "presumtive" list of health conditions/diagnosis/symptoms that are autoimmatically approved if these started up during their military service.

Including ALL of the issues put forward by the Vietnam Vets ... even those farther down the list which were not considered by the VA (They most definitely should have been ... still should be)

And that today's vets are going to be affected the same. NOT Dioxin, or Agent Orange, as it has been called for the Vietnam vets ... but the other chemical in the mix.

Cannot compare to the general population which is near-equally harmed, but compare to themselves. They were 100% healthy, unless otherwise noted when they entered military service. What is their health like now?
