Under the NSW Companion Animal Act Impounded Dogs are to be held until reclaimed by owners or purchased from pound.

Animals which are
Unidentified/Not Microchipped are held for 7 days
Microchipped Dogs are held for 14 days

Oberon Council Pound

Any enquiries for animals at Oberon Pound should be directed to 
The service is provided by Council's Animal Control Officers who are part-time officers. The Animal Control contact number is 6336 0463 and all enquiries should be directed to this number.  Please leave a message and the Rangers will get back to you.

Queanbeyan Pound
The Animal Pound is located on Old Sydney Road, Queanbeyan.
Hours of operation:  Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 10.00am, 4.00pm – 5.00pm
Saturday: 1.00pm – 5.00pm
