Los Kichwas Salasacas tradicionalmente interpretaban melodías entonadas con la caja, el tambor y el pingullo, costumbre musical mantenida de generación en generación, a pesar de los años los jóvenes vienen conservando ésta tradición fusionando instrumentos contemporáneos que hacen que las melodías tradicionales den inicio a otra forma de sentir y contar la modernidad del mágico mundo de los salasacas.
Another notable Salasaca activity is their music played traditionally on the flute and drum producing a melody reflecting the symbolic world of the Salasacas. Over the centuries the Salasacas have incorporated other sounds that complement traditional melodies, which today have allowed them to travel to foreign countries with their music, art work and the message of the Kichwa world.
