SDCC Summer Championships 2008

Sunday, August 17th

Sponsored by the San Diego Chess Club

2225 6th Ave (1 block south of Laurel Street in Balboa Park)

All students K-12th Grade are invited to play

3 Sections:  Novice  (under 600 USCF or unrated)

               Intermediate  (under 1000 USCF)

           Advanced  (1000 or over USCF)

    Note: All players play 5 games, win or lose

    Rated event, United States Chess Federation (USCF) membership required

    May join or renew at site (usually $19/year) or sign up in advance at USChess.org

Entry Fee $15 if mailed advance, $20 at site

Trophies each section, rest receive medals

Registration 8:30am – 9:45am

Play begins at approximately 10:00am. Ends 4-4:30pm

Bring sets and clocks if possible (chess set for sale at site $20)
