How To Join Our Chapter
In order to become a member, you must attend an orientation. Orientations are held every Monday evening at 7:00pm at Village Inn, 313 Independence Blvd., Va Beach, which is across from Sears at Pembroke Mall. Orientations are also held before our monthly dances (see schedule at left) at 7pm at the Moose Lodge on Lynnhaven Parkway.
Children are welcome to attend with you, and we provide a complimentary non-alcoholic beverage of your choice. Orientation gives you an opportunity to meet chapter members and learn more about the group.
If you choose to join, it will help complete the process if you bring the name and addresss of someone who can verify your single parent status.
If you cannot attend on Monday evenings, we can schedule orientations at other times for prospective members. For more information, you can call our answering service at (757) 498-2666.
There is an annual membership fee of $47. Part of this amount goes to PWP International to cover international dues and the quarterly Single Parent magazine. It also covers the cost of printing and mailing our newsletter, and helps us subsidize the cost of the family activities. Payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card (MasterCard, VISA only)
