• No harassing judges or event staff, or you will be asked to leave.
•Helmet, seatbelt & fire extinguisher --- Required!!!
• Drive shaft loops required on vehicles --- if 50% of driveline shows. Including lifted or modified vehicles. Drive shaft loops must be of ¼ inch thick by 1- inch flat iron.
• No alcohol in staging area or pits.
• Suspected intoxicated drivers will be disqualified!!!
• Mandatory tow hook or chain attached to vehicle before racing or “Driver” will hookup chain - Personally!!!
• Fastest time across finish line or furthest distance wins.
• All drivers must try to attend drivers meeting. If not able a flex draw will be given.
• Driver must run in position drawn unless mechanical problems -- then they can drop to the bottom of the class.
• Absolutely NO PASSINGERS will be allowed to ride in vehicle while participating in race. (Optional - per track and must be designated at drivers meeting!)(Waivers have to be signed)
• Vehicle that hit any of the stakes or steer off the marked track between the start and finish line will have 5 seconds added to their finished time.
• 5 stakes hit or knocked down receives 25 seconds penalty time, 6th stake or more receives a NO TIME!!!
• If there is a disagreement about downed flags, the member may call a meeting of the town judges before the start of the next class.
• No video may be used to show downed flags or to dispute the track judge’s ruling.
• Vehicle must have 1 wheel on the track at all times, at any one time all 4 wheels off the track - position will be marked where the last tire left the track.
• No CHANGING of the tract during a class. ONLY BETWEEN CLASSES.
• A competitor may not proceed with their run until they are given the GO ahead (green flag) from the race starting person.
• The competitor must stop when a red flag or checkered flag is displayed.
• The run will be disqualified if these rules are violated.
• Drivers must come to a complete stop after completing the course. (Optional - per track and must be designed at drivers meeting.)
• Situations may arise that are not covered in this said policy of rules and regulations, if limitations are not spelled out; doesn’t mean you can make unlisted modifications. A ruling will be made by the judge’s panel, consistent with ruling, in the situation of the same nature.
• The judge’s panel consists of one driver from each sanctioned town. The judge’s panel will make final decisions on all rules and regulations. In the case of a tie vote within the judge’s panel a track official from that day will be the tie=deciding vote. This track official/race committee member must be one that is not already one the judge’s panel. The judge’s panel will be at every race.
• All “Sanctioned Members” will pay a one time fee of $15.00 (membership fee per calss) prior to the race to accumulate sanctioned race points for the season. Membership is that of driver/vehicle combination.
• Drivers may change vehicles during the season, as long as that vehicle change stays in the same classification. Vehicle change must be completed before the start of their run.
• If by chance the secretary is not in attendance contact the association president to verify your changes. Also verify your changes to the race day secretary at the time of paying your entry fee, or prior to the class race time.
• All paid members entry fees will be $25.00 per driver/vehicle combination per race . All non-members entry fees will be $30.00 per driver/vehicle combination per race. Each town with a sanctioned race date will charge charge these amounts.
• $5.00 per each entry fee will be paid back to the Mid States Mud Racing Association. Secretaries it is your duty to very your race date entries and get you money to the association treasurer.
• Forms will be submitted to you. Also you will need to get your completed race results to the secretary ASAP. With in at least 3 days, Please!!!!
• Secretaries: Each entry will have a placement. If the driver is disqualified (DQ), places in distance (DIS), qualifies for time (00:00), or does not start (NS). Make notations complete your results.
• No entry fees will be paid back to drivers if they are unable to race for any reason.
• Note: Any drivers 16-18 are required to have a consent form signed by a “Parent or Guardian” which means you the person signing for the under aged driver to participate will be held responsible for that under age driver.
• “Drivers” age 16-18 may have written permission to participate as long as the statement has been signed, dated, and notarized prior to race date. Secretaries you keep this notarized paper with the entry form.
• $150.00 Town Membership fee (one time fee). This is for the new towns that are joining the sanction.
• Mandatory on all “modified” vehicles - required to have ROLL BAR, also if the vehicle has NO GLASS and or Full Removable top.
• The lights may be rented out to other racing events only. The fee is $5.00 per paid entry.
• Proof of insurance is to be sent to the sanction secretary 2 weeks prior to the race or the race sponsors have the choice of purchasing it form the sanction insurance company or cancel the event.
• Race dates must be set by March 31th..
• Trophies or award is reqired for the top 3 placing per class.
