We suggest you hide your email address within your profile and elect to not receive postings in your inbox. Sending responses to posts via email is also not recommended as it quite often destroys the flow of the conversation and could end up in the wrong place. We also caution you against giving out any personally identifiable information (such as real name, address, telephone number, passwords, etc.) online. This information can easily be used for illegal or harmful purposes.

Any nickname that includes Manager or MGR or Mgr or any part of a nickname that suggests you are a manager within this group is forbidden. A nickname also cannot suggest an affiliation with MSN Groups nor Microsoft.

Within Staying Safe Online, the use of all capital letters in names of discussions and within the various posts is considered yelling and shows a total disrespect towards members. We ask that the use of capitals only be used to emphasis periodic points.

Staying Safe Online does not allow any posting that discusses ways to bypass the controls that MSN Groups has provided the group with. This includes but is not limited to BOTS, e-mail havesting programs, or any way or means to find out information about any member of any group within MSN Groups.

Do not use Staying Safe Online to spam others. Spam includes sending identical and irrelevant or unsolicited submissions to many different users, and includes misrepresenting the source of anything you post. Spamming and scrolling in chat rooms are serious violations of online etiquette.

No Flaming, Bashing or Fighting is allowed anywhere in Staying Safe Online. This means no rude attacks in any way, shape or form against MSN or another member or managers personally. Your thread could be deleted and You could lose your membership with Staying Safe Online.

Post of attachments in Staying Safe Online are not acceptable. If you post an attachment anywhere inside of Staying Safe Online, we will hold you responsible for any disruption of any member's PC that downloads them. If we find that the attachment was the cause, you will lose your membership. NO WARNING.. It will only take one complaint.. Attachments are dangerous to open and a major carrier for viruses.

There is to be NO COPYING OF ANY OF Staying Safe Online's TUTORIALS OR PAGES. You may copy and print them out for your own use, but you may not copy and post them as your own elsewhere. They are the property of the author and are Copyrighted Material. Violaters will be banned and reported to MSN.
