THE CRAFT WORKSHOPS
These workshops are designed to give the student the basics on the Craft. Each workshop will last approximately 2 1/2 hours and will include a question and answer session, bibliography, URL Link page and hand-outs. The Workshops are designed to rotate and repeat every other month, so no one will even miss one! Cost is $25 per workshop and is to be pre-paid.

Workshop #1--Introduction to the Craft
(This workshop is a pre-requisite for the following two workshops.)
Clearing up the Myths and Misconceptions. Interesting Folklore, Associations, Tall Tales. What is a Witch? Introduction to the Beginnings of Witchcraft and Basic History of the Neo-Pagan Movement. The Ethics and Politics of a Witch. The Heavens, Nature and the Wheel of the Year. How Witches apply the Cycles of Nature to their Daily Lives. A Witch's Responsibilities as a Caretaker of the Earth.
Workshop #2--Magick, Spells and Creating Sacred Space Magick, Rituals, Circles, Healings and Ceremonies.
The Circle and how to cast one. Spell for Dedication of your own Book of Shadows. Different Spells and different types of Magick. Ethics of doing Magick. How to do Your Own Spellwork, Dedication of Ritual Tools and Accoutrements and their Meanings. Herbology Basics, The Gods and the Goddesses, Faeries, Nature Spirits, Sylphs, Spirit Guides, etc.
Workshop #3--The Path of the Witch
A Crash Course on Comparative Religions and how they differ from Witchcraft and a rundown of other Pagan Paths. Crystals, Chakras, Reiki and Healing. Types of Divination. What Divination Does. How YOU can do Divination. Mini-readings for all class members. An Intro to Meditation. A Guided Meditation. The Elements of Rituals and Spells. How to write/create a Ritual, Meditation and Spell and "Work It" Workshop.

Please come with a notebook and pen and be prepared to take notes. These workshops are interactive, so your participation is required! It is also an open forum format, not a lecture. So if you have questions, ask away! The only stupid question is the one that is not asked!!!
********************************************** Crystals, Chakras and Healing Workshop!
This Workshop deals with the energies of the stones and how to identify them, their Metaphysical and Healing properties, how to charge and store them, and methods for using them. Other topics covered will be the chakras and their relationships to body, mind and soul and to the stones for Energy Work and Healing. We will be doing Meditations in this class, so bring a blanket or sleeping bag to lay down on.
Stones and small bags included so each student can get started with their Energy Work right away! Also included will be a Bibliography and a special LINKS page with URLs to the most interesting websites on Crystals.
It is strongly suggested that each student buy or browse through the following book before the class:

This workshop is $35 per person (crystals and small bags are included) or $25 (if you bring your own crystals) and is pre-paid.

INTRODUCTION TO ASTROLOGY
Astrology is not as simple as reading your horoscope in the daily paper. Astrology is an exact science and was used by many in Europe, including royalty at the birth of their children, for finding good times to start wars or making peace, for making negotiations between countries, to purchase land, to plan planting and harvest times, to marry and a myriad of other life-changing events.
Come and find out what all the buzz is about and learn how to read your chart and find your BEST times for love, career, healing and fun!
Each student's personal Natal Chart and analysis is included.
Some of the topics we will cover include the following:
How to read your chart.
The elements and personalities of each sign, planet and house.
Placement of the Sun and Moon and Ascendant in the chart and what each means.
Memorizing the glyphs.
Void and retrograde Moon and Planets.
Solar and Saturn returns.
Phases of the Moon.
Movements of Asteroids and Stars.

TAROT 101
This Tarot Workshop is designed for the Beginner and will help the student become familiar with the Tarot as a spiritual practice. At the conclusion of this Workshop, the student should be comfortable doing simple readings for friends and family. The student should be prepared to write and participate in a workshop type class, so everyone's input is important. Please bring a notebook and something to write with and a Tarot deck. Please pick out a basic deck, ie., the Rider-Waite, Hanson-Roberts or any other deck that has a picture (not symbols) on each card. If you have any questions about which decks would be acceptable for this class, just email me. Some of the course material is as follows:

The class will be in the form of a Tea Party/Workshop and we will have refreshments and do readings for each other. Bring a bagged lunch if you like. This is a 2 1/2 hour Workshop with a few small breaks and is $25 per person and is to be pre-paid.

These classes are being taught by Rev. Anita Stewart, also known as the Tarotlaydee. Anita has taught the Tarot at the College of Metaphysical Studies in Clearwater. After many years as a Solitary practitioner, she became one of the founding members and secretary for a local Pagan Temple and two Covens. She currently facilitates a small Women's Circle in Tampa Bay. She has been a reader of Tarot for over 30 years, with a strong background in Astrology. She lives near a nature trail with her man and a menagerie of animals, is a political activist and writer and currently works in Health Care, and studies Runes and Herblore. She is also learning how to use her new telescope!
