| Our rules are designed to protect our members. Please remember that we are a public community, open to all qualified or student and prospective teachers, of all genders, races, sexualities, etc. This is a G-Rated group. It is assumed that members will be over 18 in order to be teachers /student teachers in the first place. If you break the rules you may be banned without notice. (This includes under 18's) The following rules are in addition to the MSN Conditions Of Use and apply to every part of TeachersUK: GENERAL RULES 1. Membership indicates acceptance of these rules and the management team's authority in this group. 2. The management team reserve the right to delete postings, moderate postings, ban members without notice (either temporarily or permanently) from TeachersUK , report offenders to MSN and take other appropriate action in relation to any breach of these rules. 3. Posting anything of a sexual, offensive or abusive nature is unacceptable. 4. TeachersUK is a community which is against sexism, racism, ageism (except with respect to under 18's), disability and discrimination on the grounds of sexuality. Postings which break this principle are not acceptable. 5. Organised harassment aimed at causing disruption in this community is not acceptable. 5a. In particular messages will be removed which: - Foment terrorism or seek to provoke others to terrorist acts - Justify or glorify terrorism - Foment other serious criminal activity or seek to provoke others to serious criminal acts - Foster hatred that may lead to "intra-community violence" in the UK - Advocate violence in support of particular beliefs. - The Group Manager considers to be "extreme views that are in conflict with the UK's culture of tolerance". 6. Posting of personal telephone numbers or email addresses is not allowed. 7. Repeatedly ignoring the rules will get you banned indefinitely. 8. Complaints about anything in TeachersUK or the Chat Room should be emailed to the manager. Message Boards Rules 9. Abusive or personal attack messages or attacks on other Internet groups/communities are unacceptable. 10. Personal ad's are not allowed. 11. If you want to make personal contact with anyone who's left a message, do so by sending an email to their address, which you can find in their member profile, if they haven't hidden it. 12. Spam (advertising) is not allowed. 13. The posting of links to other communities or adult-oriented websites is not allowed. (NB: If you would like us to post up a link to your (non-adult) community/ group in the TeachersUK Links page, please email The manager with the details.) 14. Posting of email addresses is not allowed. If you wish other members to contact you, ensure your email address is visible in your TeachersUK profile, however this is not recommended. 15. Rudeness or disrespect to other members (including any member of the management team) is not acceptable. 16. Complaints about anything in TeachersUK or the TeachersUK Chat Room will not be discussed on the message boards (see Rule 8 above). Report Problem Chat Room Rules 17. Abuse or hassle of anyone in the chat room is not acceptable. 18. Excessive swearing, spamming, scrolling, whisper requests,silly cam requests or persistent ASLs are not allowed. 19. As this is an English speaking room, please chat in English. 20. Links to adult rated or pornographic material (websites or any other electronic media) are not acceptable on chatters usernames or in the chat room.
