I became a Jeff Gordon fan when I was 8. My dad and my grandpa are huge race fans and when Jeff came out my dad really likedhim and thats how i was raised. I get to go to the race every once in a while. My uncle is an excutive for Dupont and he gets tickets with pit and garage pass, so Ive met Jeff before he is a really nice guy. Not to mention a total hottie. Ive never really been into NASCAR until I met Jeff at the Daytona 500 in 2001, thats when I started watching the races every Sunday with my dad or going to the race track with my uncle. But I am a closet ford fan. My grandpa races Mustangs up at Sears Point in California. So I am sorry about that but I will never reget bring a Jeff Gordon fan. It doesnt matter Chevy or Ford it all depends on the driver of the car and Jeff is a class act and a total hottie!!!!

I went with a friend to a managers meeting for advanced auto parts    they had a conference in Atlanta and she asked me to go along since they gave her an extra ticket for the race that day     well we went to the garage and to the pits and talked with many people   i noticed this brightly colored car and this guy was standing there    well i liked the car so i talked to this man not knowing who it was   he was just a nice guy and talked to me for about 15 minutes     after my freind said you know who that was and i said no she said that was the driver of the car that you were looking at the #24 Dupont Chevy     so i said ok maybe i should see how he does      well he won that race his first   my first and from that point on i was a 24 chevy girl        now of course i get all the crap from others especially since i am a receiver at a grocery chain and our main beer vendor is Budweiser     so i hear it every day from him     but pepsi is our biggest drink vendor and of course i get lots of tickets since they are a 24 sponsor so it all works out right

I had been watching Nascar races for a while but never had a favorite driver till my first trip to a live race. MIS. Everyone we went with had a driver but me(of course theirs was not Jeff) so I picked a car I could see all around the track you guessed it, it was that rainbow car, so I picked the car without really knowing who drove it.The car finished 5th. My friends all gave me the look as to why I picked that driver but I told them it was because I could keep track of it and was staying with it. I came home and started doing my homework on Jeff. To my surprise I picked a winner and a hot one at that!!!!!! I get a lot of pain with Jeff as my driver but I can't help I'm the only one who has taste.
I run a home daycare and all the kids learn their colors and numbers using race cars and their fav of course it's Jeff and they can pick him out in his driver's suit or plain clothes(wonder how they can do that?) And of course his car we have even done field trips to see his show cars. Got to bring them up right!!!!!!

It began in the year 2001 when I was at my dads friends house and it just happen to be race day. So we stayed because we were invited and it was the beginning or middle of the race and I suddenly spotted a Rainbow paint schemed car had a number 24 on it and I asked who they guy in that car might be and so my dads friend said that the guy in that number 24 car was Jeff Gordon. Right then and there I knew that Jeff would be my one and only favorite racecar driver. What amazed me about him was that he was cool on the racetrack and so that August I signed up for his fanclub and of course I did some research on him and you know to this day I can still remember when I stayed just see him in the winners circle. I have a deep respect for Jeff and admire him very much for him just being himself and for his many accomplisments that he managed on his own to achieve. I can't believe that it has been almost five years since I first sat down to watch my first race and pick my favorite driver. You alll know as well as I do that once I am a Jeff Gordon fan I stay a Jeff Gordon fan. My story is not as great as some of the other but at least I know what it feels like to be a first time fan. I still have not been to my first race or fanclub event yet but I have a feeling it won't be long before I have the chance to me the famous Jeff Gordon everyone has been talking about.

ya  know..., i was  watching this race one day, back in 94,this guy tells me to keep an eye on this young driver,#24,a kid named gordon,he's good,he's going places, just watch and see.
it was at pocono, and i believe he was leading most of the race, had a re-start,missed a shift, and didn't fair well that day. soooo,i waited till the next week, and watched this "kid",and was VERY VERY impressed.
i have been stuck ever since,my house is plastered with 24 stuff, everywhere.
even got a #24 tattoo.
win, lose,or just another contraversy,i'm there for the team, but for the driver the most.
i grew up a petty fan,and seem to feel the "changing of the gaurd",the "passing of the torch" from one champ to the next new "KING" of stock car racing.
it don't get any better than jeff gordon.
24 for life

I became a Jeff Gordon fan the year of 2001. it was a day not like other and some of my dads friends invited us to go and watch races with them and so we started watching the races and all of a sudden a bright colored car caught my eye and I asked my dads friend who the number 24 was and replied "that's Jeff Gordon" and I saw how great he was doing the race track so I said from now on that is the driver I am going to root for and so I am here to day with a lot of Jeff stuff still supporting the man that I admire and root for every weekend.
Go Jeff the strive for five is still alive!!!!!

At the beginning of the season, I would pick up a rookie driver that I think will be good for the sport.  In 1993, that happened to be Jeff Gordon. At the time, I was a huge Davey Allison fan.  When Davey got killed, my rookie, Jeff Gordon became my favorite driver. The car was killer back in those days, all those colors.  I have followed Jeff ever since.  I don't pick up a rookie driver at the beginning of the season anymore.  It proved to be bad luck.

To Jeff Gordon Rocks, Finally there is someone that is a Jeff fan that also is a fan of Jimmie Johnson. I got a JJ jacket and am wearing it. Alot of people asked if I changed drivers and not a Jeff fan anymore. I said I will always be a Jeff Gordon fan. Jimmie Johnson was recruited by Jeff and that Jeff is the car owner of the 48. The 48 cars are some that used to be the 24. Jimmie stuff is still in support of Jeff as car owner as well as driver. I Have a Jeff jacket too. Just supporting both Jeff driver and Jeff owner. Have hard time convincing some people that  Jeff got Jimmie started in Winston Cup. Hard to be a fan of one and not the other. When Jimmie wins, Jeff does too.
