THE NATIONAL NEOPIAN BANK
The National Neopian Bank is where you can place your NeoPoints (NP) for safe keeping. To find the bank, first go to the shops section. This will bring to Neopia Central, where the main shops can be found. Here you will find the National Neopian Bank. This is where you go to store your NP.

Another way to get to the National Neopian Bank is by clicking on Pet Central, Your Items, and then clicking on the Bank icon that looks like a Greek temple. You will be able to jump from auctions, trades, shops, wizard, and more straight to the bank to deposit or withdraw NP and then right back into Neopia.

When you click the bank you will be greeted by the Skeith banker. If you dont have an account, he will ask you to make one and the screen will show a form to fill out. Fill this out and you are on your way to saving Neopoints.

The National Neopian Bank
Good morning Sir/Madam. It's great to see you again. What can I do for you today?
Account Type :
Current Balance :
Interest Rate : (4.5% - 12.5% per year)
Yearly Interest : (divide current balance by 100 and multiply by interest rate)
The account type is what you have chosen. The current balance is how much you have in the bank. You also have an interest rate. The interest rate changes with the type of account you have. The yearly interest also increases with your balance and type. Daily interest equals yearly interest divided by 365. This interest is free neopoints that can be collected once every day. This is explained further down the page.
Deposit Neopoints
It will have a box that says "Amount in NP." If you wish to deposit (put in) NP into the bank you will type the amount in the box and hit deposit.
Make a Withdrawal
Another box will be here asking the same question "Amount in NP." When you are ready to buy something, you can come to the bank and withdraw (take out) points to use in shops, trades, and auction. Now the amount of NP you see at the top of the screen is how many NP you have with you to spend, not how much is in the bank. To get more points to spend, make a withdrawal at the bank, like shown. Be careful though on your withdrawals. If you withdraw Neopoints too many times a day (more than 15), the bank staff may get angry and refuse to serve you! If you wish, you can add a PIN (Protection In Neopia) number to your bank account so that if someone else ever gains access to your account, they can't take any points! If you enable this safety option, you will have to enter the number every time you want to withdraw neopoints.
Collect Daily Interest
The third part of the bank is the interest. The bank pays you to have an account. The interest is determined by how many points you have in the bank. This interest can only be collected once per day. This part is very important. You have to collect the interest yourself by clicking the "Collect Interest" button. Do this everyday and before you withdraw or deposit. You will not be able to collect interest if you make a withdrawal or deposit first.
"Oops! You have deposited and/or withdrawn Neopoints today. This means you will not be able to collect your interest until tomorrow. Sorry about this! Make sure you collect interest at the start of every day."
So make sure you collect your interest first. Even if your neopoints go below the value needed for a certain interest rate, your interest rate will not change.
Upgrade Your Account
Last but not least is the "Upgrade Account" part. When you have finally saved up enough NP, you can upgrade your account type. Upgrading your account type makes you get more daily interest. You will see a box with your account balance (how much you have), New Account (what type of account you would like to upgrade to), and Additional Deposit (how much you want to put in the bank to upgrade, dont forget to collect your interest).
This is how to use the bank, it is a very useful and safe place to keep your NP. And dont forget to collect your interest before you deposit or withdraw.
