Welcome to The Doolittle Raid Remembered MSN Group
(A partner site of www.DoolittleRaid.com)

Many of the actual Doolittle Raiders are no longer with us, but one of the purposes of this website is to preserve their legacy and the memory of their Raid. Sixteen crews let by then Lt. Col. "Jimmy" Doolittle took off from the USS Hornet (CV-8) for the first U.S. strike on the Japanese homeland.

While the raid itself did little physical damage to the Japanese, it had lasting effects and some view it as the "high water mark" of the Japanese war effort in World War 2.

This is a resource hub for links relating to the planes (B-25B), ships, crewmembers and research about the raid. Information from former CV-8 Hornet crewmembers, ground crews, civilians, or anyone else involved would be especially welcome.

Also, any personal stories or anecdotes that might be shared.

If you are a Raider, are related to one, know someone who is, or are just interested, please e-mail me at doolittleraiders@hotmail.com

Also please e-mail me if there is a story about one of the raiders that I can verify or an article you would like to post.

For those of you who are looking for 2004 reunion information, the website is located at: http://www.a6consultants.com/doolittle.htm

I am not personally affiliated with the Doolittle Raiders. The pages on this website and on my website listed below are intended as a tribute to the Raiders and as a research tool. Nothing more.
