If you are still having problems posting messages or viewing the contents of a website try these procedures:

  • First, delete all installed controls, which will reinstall as you use the applications that require them.
  • Next, clear the cache on your computer, with the hope of removing any obstacles to the operation of the message board.
  • Finally, disable your content advisor as this will often work around the problem. Instructions for such actions are given below.

To delete all controls and temporary Internet files:
    - Close Internet Explorer if you currently have it open.
    - Right click on the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop and select Properties.
    - In the General tab, click Settings, then View Objects.
    - Holding the Shift key down, click on the title of every control until they are all highlighted.
    - Still holding the Shift key, right click and select Remove. Ensure that all entries are deleted.
    - Click OK to close each window associated with removing the controls and return to the General tab.
    - Next, click on Delete Files.
    - Click OK to delete all temporary files.
    - When complete, close all windows associated with these actions.

    To disable the content advisor:
    - Go to the Tools menu then click on Internet Options.
    - Under the Content tab, click on the Disable button and enter the password used.

    * If you forgot the password, there is no other way you can disable it and you have to install your browser again.
