The Use of Colour Within Magic.

          Every colour has its own symbolism within the craft. You can use these colours to help increase the power and focus of your spell, such as using pink candles for love. These colours can also be used when needing wool, string or material for a spell.

White ? Purity, truth, cleansing, sprit and peace.

Black ? Banishment, completion, release, protection from evil.

Gold ? Autumn, money, atrraction, the sun..

Silver ? overcomes negitive energy, the moon.

Red ? Summer, energy,activity, passion, sex, life force.

Orange? Motivation, adaption.

Pink ? Love, romance, female energies, friendship.

Yellow ? Happiness, laughter, concentration, the mind artistic abilties.

Light Green ? Spring, fertility, progression, creativity.

Dark Green ? Good luck, strength, growth, good fortune, money.

Light Blue ? Healing, cooling, calming, vocal expression..

Dark blue ? Protection, spirituality, psychic ability, knowledge.

Purple ? Same as for dark blue (above).

Brown ? Winter, grounding, security, strength, stability.

        When using candles within magic always try to buy candles that are coloured all the way through rather than dipped (just the outside is coloured). Also try wearing ccoloured clothing for your spells, and dont forget you can combine colours for more specific connections.

          These colours and assoications are not set in stone so feel free to use what feels best for you. i use these but others have them slightly different. Its a personal path so dont be scared to use what feels right to you.
