Role in Movie: Unknown 7 or 10 years old Marlene's role in the movie is currently unknown, although Tetsuya Nomura hinted that she and her "friends" would play an important role.
Aerith Gainsbough Role in FFVII: Playable Character
Role in Movie: Unknown 24 years old Aerith has been shown as part of a flashback scene showing Cloud lowering her into the lake after her death. Recently, new images have been released of her, which only causes more speculation of her role.
Denzel  Role in FFVII: Not in Game
Role in Movie: Unknown unknown Denzel appears to be one of the orphans who lives with Tifa. Whether he is related in any way to Marlene or the "children" theme of the movie is not known.
Cid  role in ff: Playable Character
Role in Movie: Unknown 34 years old Cid has been shown in several images holding his trademark spear weapon. He is also shown battling some creatures of an unknown nature.
Red XIII  Role in FFVII: Playable Character
Role in Movie: Unknown 50 years old Red XIII has been shown in only a few images, all of which appear to be in Midgar. He has been shown leaping into the air as well as with a crowd of people behind him.
Yuffie  Role in FFVII: Playable Character [hidden]
Role in Movie: Unknown 18 years old Possibly the last of the FFVII main characters to be released, Yuffie has been shown meeting with Tifa and Denzel as well as parachuting out of the sky.
Zack  Role in FFVII: Non-playable character, flashback
Role in Movie: Possibly a flashback unknown One image of Zack has been released which shows him in the back of a pickup truck. This indicates that this character is likely featured as a flashback only due to events that took place in FFVII.
Wheelchair Person  Role in FFVII: Not in Game
Role in Movie: Unknown unknown Kadaj is shown bowing down to a person in a wheelchair. He is covered completely in a white sheet or robe and only his hand can be seen. This is likely a man, due to the size of the hand that is shown. Possibly this could in fact be Sephiroth himself.
