Side Quests
Tower of Fanatics In this tower you can only use magic, your fight command WILL NOT show up on your command screen. The Tower of Fanatics is located in the center of the map. It is a real tall tower. Once you enter you have to climb tons of flight of stairs. Along the way go into the rooms to get treasure. When you reach the top you will get the Gembox, a magic relic that allows you to cast two magic spells in a row. Something is odd though, there is no one to protect the treasure. Once you step outside, the dum dums will attack you, and try to force you to give back the treasure. You will have fight Magi Master a very powerful enemy. The easiest way to beat him is to cast Beserk on him then pummel him with Ultima, Merton, and Meteor. Casting Vanish then X-Zone will not work therefore you have to pummel this baddy with all that you got. After a few rounds he will go down. Make sure your levels are around 60, and make sure you cast Life 3 because at the end of the battle he will cast Ultima, which kills all your party members.
Cyan's Nightmare Head to Doma Castle with Cyan in you party. Go to sleep in the top left room. Then an incident will occur where three little kids will pop up saying they are dream stooges, and they are here to steal Cyan's soul. After the scene your in Cyan's thoughts, find the rest of the party, and navigate until you meet the three dream stooges. This is the most annoying battle in the entire game because the stooges fully heal after a couple of rounds. Therefore cast Vanish then X-Zone on all the dream stooges immediately or else you will be in big trouble. After the battle you will arrive in the ghost train. Solve the treasure puzzles, and head to the engine room. Now you will fight the most annoying, and stupid boss in FF VI. WrexSoul. You don't know how long it to me to beat him! Kill him quick by casting X-Zone, and they battle will end. However if you were slow, and he disappears you have to kill off two of your party members for WrexSoul to come out. Then revive each party member, and pummel him until he dissappears. Repeat the process but have another party member stay alive, and in about four to five rounds he will die. Do not attack the Soul Savers because they keep coming back. After this battle you will arrive in the throne room, an incident occurs with Cyan, and his family. Now Cyan has gotten back his self confidence, therefore mastering all his sword technique abilities then go back to the throne room to get Alexander Esper.
Strago's Past Have Strago and Relm in your party then head to Thamasa, which is located on the bottom right of the map. Once there a scene occurs, and Strago will be at the bedside of Gungho. He mentions to Strago that he was attacked by Hidon at Ebot's Rock just North of Thamasa. Strago will now venture alone into Ebot's Rock. Make sure you only have Strago in your party or Hidon will not come out. Now fly to Ebot's Rock just North of Thamasa. Once inside step on the switches, and you will find treasure chests filled with Coral. Keep collecting coral pieces because you will come across a coral eating treasure box that is blocking the way to Hidon. Feed it tons of coral pieces until it becomes full. Then it will let you across, walk a few steps and you will see Hidon. Walk and touch her, and you will battle Hidon. Make sure Hidon hits Strago with Grandtrain because that is Strago's strongest Lore. Then cast Vanish on all four Hidonites, and Hidon for an easy victory. Now you will have Strago's strongest Lore Grandtrain.
Odin/Raiden-Ancient Castle To get these powerful Epsers head to Figaro Castle. Ask the man in the engine room to head to Kohnlingen. Half way the castle gets stuck, and the man asks you if you want to explore the area. Agree to explore the area by heading to the prison area on the bottom right of the castle then head to the last prison cell on the right and head out. Now your in a series of underground caves. Get some treasure, and navigate to a flight of stairs. Head down these stairs to reach the ancient castle. Head inside and in the centre of the throne room will have a statue of Odin. Touch it and it will turn into the Esper. Now head to the room on the right. Check the bookshelf to find the Queen's diary, read it it then head back to the throne room. From the throne walk back 1-8 steps and keep pressing X until you hear a click. Go back to the room on the right, and now a staircase will appear. Head down and attack one of the dragons in the Cruasader quest. Now head into the following room ,and touch the statue. Tears will then come out of the statue, this causes Odin to power up to Raiden. Within this same castle head to the outside of the castle, and enter the door to the left. Open the chest to fight KatanSoul, cast Vanish and X-Zone for a easy win. Now you have the offering one of the most powerful relics.
Gau's Father Have Gau and Sabin in your party. Head to the old man's house on the Veldt. He asks you to fix the roof, and the party questions is that Gau's father. So our heroes dress up Gau in many outrageous outfits. Then finally Gau meets his father, but his father tells them that he never had a son but had a nigthmare that he had a child but threw him into the wild because he was to disgusting to have as a child. Sabin wanted to clobber the old man but Gau left, and even though Gau's father abanadoned him, Gau mentions that he is still happy!
8 Dragons Sidequest Spread throughout the world are 8 dragons. All are pretty hard, but with the right combo of attacks you can defeat it!
