The Sand Dunes is a campout for the whole family if they choose to come.

We will meet at the church Friday May 16th at 4:30 and leave by 5:00 pm.  We will not be stopping for supper so bring something to eat in the car or have supper prior to leaving. The trip will take about 3 ½ hours so it WILL be dark when we arrive.

Saturday: Hike to top of the dunes in the morning, lunch at the campground, hike to the Zapata falls in the afternoon, dinner at the camp site, play on the dunes till dark. (Campfire?)

Sunday: 2 options for on the way home. Visit the Colorado Alligator Farm and/or visit South Park City Museum in Fairplay. Arrive home sometime in the afternoon. Each activity will cost about $5.

What not to forget:

Supper for in the car on Friday night

Cold weather clothes for the trip (elevation about 9,000ft)

Something to slide on for the dunes
