Complaints and allegations of US Bank unfair overdrafts, ATM charges, fees and poor customer service

I will never bank there again i guess i deseve it for being a bankin fool $250 for a $4.00 overdraft ATM fees

Stupid USBank! Stupid, stupid, stupid!  A Little Rant

This is how banks get ahead of other banks though - by ripping off their customers Bank fees: Like a thief in the night

USBank has a list of pending transactions. By their definition, pending = not posted....if all the transactions shown as pending had posted I would have been short by a serious amount, *but* they didn't post and I got charged anyway to the tune of $320 Banking Stupidity II

Stopped by the US Bank ATM machine across from the bookstore. This guy was using it, and as he finished his transaction, the ATM wouldn't give him back his card! Beware the US Bank ATM Machine!

Soon after the takeover of the "original" US Bank, we made a simple transfer of funds at a US Bank ATM from our savings account to our checking account. About ten days later we were notified by the bank that one of our checks had "bounced". When US bank "customer service" was contacted, they advised that the ATM transfer had never been processed. Thus started our nightmare Complaints.Com

Overdraft fee's were still being assessed to my account after closing it. After one mistake on my account which I did make-US BANK racked up almost $200 in overdraft charges the 1st time. I said it was my mistake and I would pay it. That wasn't the end of it. To this day, I am still trying to figure out how my account which is now closed finally after a 2 week delay has racked up almost $900 in overdraft/late charges Complaints.Com

stupid f*cker at usbank.com. i checked my account on thursday and a bunch of shit had already been posted for friday including my paycheck, and only three days later did they add on overdraft fees for the same day (?) I HATE Banks

US Bank has inappropriately charged my business bank account with fees in excess of $4,200 in the past year and one-half. When I have contacted US Bank, it appears to be a bank SCAM and I get the run around Inappropriate charges

Starting with a total balance of $705.86 a week ago, after my making $564.30 in withdrawals and debits, the USbank charged me for SEVEN overdrafts! I just can't believe it

Out of frustration, and because it seemed the easier thing to do since he couldn't get any help in the branch, he decided to close the acct. The shocker was that in addition to the OD amt of $57.80, they also charged a $10.00 fee for closing the acct! So, on this little account, they charged a total of $60.00 in OD and closure fees...I am not complaining about the $50.00 in overdraft charges..it is the poor service that is at issue Future Customers

Had just opened a new checking account with US Bank and today (since August) I have been charged over $2000 in NSF fees...when I disputed the NSF fees since my account had reflected a positive balance I was told that debits are always processed before Credits! So, any deposits will not be acknowledged until they charge you their fees. I am livid! How do I fight this unethical crap?! How new customers are treated

i'm closing my account & taking my business somewhere else...here's why...everybody boycott US Bank please :(  How do YOU get out of overdraft fees?

I too have just recently endured an ordeal with US Bank. It appears (after I had investigated two months worth of bank printouts from the branch) that US Bank didn't credit one of my ATM deposits. Within three days or so of this deposit, a chain of NSF fees built up without my knowledge Just Another US Bank Complaint

I was nailed for overdrafting my account without ever actually doing so. Anyway, just a heads up, for US Bank customers at least, that they are now basing overdraft status on "available balance" Noticed an overdraft charge

I would also like to get together with others that have been screwed by US bank. I made a deposit that they said would be available the next day, but they held it for two days. Because of this I go hit with over $500 in just fees   US Bank 5 Star Screw, unauthorized

The last several months have been a nightmare. Every time I have money deposited into my account, the total amount goes to bogus overdraft charges.... I just want someone to tell me how to stop US Bank from screwing me and others. This is wrong! US Bank 5 Star Screw, unauthorized charges

US Bank chases away still ANOTHER new customer: I have had my bank account with US Bank for 2 days over a month, and already I have had massive problems with them

I have an account with US Bank...What pisses me off is some of their policies....It's crazy! Their rate is 21% for overdrafts - hardly great, but way better than the 300%+ charged for check loans. Do they want my custom? I've been stupid enough to incurr overdraft charges ELEVEN times in December The Bank

Numerous consumer complaints regarding US Bank alleged overdraft scam Time for a U.S. Bank class action suit??

I am told that USB has just put a process in place for the sole purpose of making customers bounce more checks so they can collect the overdraft fees USB Maximizes your bounced checks!

AND YOUR TELLERS HAD THE NERVE TO TELL ME "HOW LUCKY" I WAS BECAUSE THE MANAGER WAS KIND ENOUGH TO DROP TWO OF THE CHARGES.... Robbed by US Bank

Lengthy Hold On Deposited Funds Even CASH! Redefines the term "bank robbery" US Bank ripoff Excessive Charges

At present there have been overdraft charges applied to my account totaling $872 (AND ITS ONLY BEEN A WEEK!). This is by far the worst and most unethical way of conducting business that I have ever been witness to Yet another happy US Bank customer - NOT!

More information:

The Federal Reserve has made it legally okay for banks to lie to you about your account balance. This is no joke. Banks tell you that you have more money than you do because they want you to spend more than you have and then overdraft your account. That way, they can charge you all kinds of overdraft fees Banks and account balances

Get ready, I'm about to hit you with a cuss word: "Banker."....."Oh," say the bankers, "we have to charge a lot because ATMs are so expensive to run. Liars. Consumer watchdog Ralph Nader has found that for every dollar you pay in ATM fees, the bank makes 81-cents in pure profit Alter Net Hightower: Bank Robbery
