About the Vascular Birthmark Support Group (could also be known as a vascular anomaly, lesion, tumor, or malformation)
The Vascular Birthmark Support Group is a forum for parents and individuals living with vascular birthmarks/ malformations. Remember, any information or photos you publish to the group are readily accessible to the public at large.
The group does not provide medical advice, but serves as a support system for vascular birthmarks. Although many members are very knowledgeable about various treatment options, we are not medical professionals. Please check with your doctor or a medical professional for treatment and diagnosis, etc. There is a list of recommended physicians on this site under the Doctors link.
The Vascular Birthmark Support Group is not responsible for any advice or information in any and all forms given or posted on this board. This is a public forum and the posts are the opinions/statements of the particular author.
About the Message Boards
Members should feel free to post what they wish, but must be respectful of others. Following are some guidelines:
- Posts containing suggestive, offensive, or inappropriate material will be deleted without notice at the discretion of the group managers.
- Posts to solicit funds for any group, organization or individual are not permitted, except upon prior approval by the group managers.
- Links to inappropriate material (e.g. pornographic, dangerous or otherwise) result in automatic banning from the site and is at the discretion of the group managers.
- Announcements for other organizations or groups should be pre-approved by the group managers.
- You must get permission from the group managers before advertising products, organizations, fundraisers or services.
- Any complaints about or suspicious behavior by a member, may result in automatic banning from the site and is at the discretion of the group managers.
- If you have any doubt about the subject matter you intend to post, then you should seek the advice and approval of the group managers prior to posting.

Libelous or inflammatory statements made about named members, medical profesionals, or institutions will be deleted without notice at the discretion of the group managers.
The Message Board , is where you should post any questions, comments, requests, etc. regarding vascular birthmark information, diagnosis, treatment etc. The Our Stories Board is reserved for "stories" ONLY. If you wish to comment about a story or to reply to the author of a story, please do so on the General Board. This helps to make the stories easier to update and read.
