I have tried all sorts of creams and such for my piles, but nothing seems to ease the itching. Do you know of any old wives tales to help me?

I'm so sorry to hear of your condition, and have been searching through piles... oops sorry.... of old wives tales books.The one i thought may help you the most was the one my mum always told me about when i had gnat bites.....
Put a bit of spit directley on to your affected area... nothing beats your own spit! However in your case it may be wise to spit on your finger first and administer from there!

I really fancy this girl, but i know my mate also does. Should i try to get in there first risking friendship or should i wait and let my mate have a chance first. He is a nice guy and i would hate to lose a friendship, but i have been without a woman now for some months.

ok... there are two ways you can deal with this...
Firstly tell your mate you fancy her too and challenge him to a dual..!!! But as you sound pretty desperate, you could go for it, pray she likes you too, and fullfill your needs! if your mate is a good one he will understand.. if he isn't....find another mate!!
