 Group Rules

For those wanting to become a leader, please read these rules before requesting.

Terms used are herd for a group of equids, pack for a group of canines, humans settlements and pride for a group of felines.

  • Leaders will be given Asst. Manager status and be responsible for their Group pages and are trusted not to edit anything but their Group. Leaders should know how to use MSN to create and edit pages.
  • Groups with no active leader will be given to someone else or deleted.
  • Male or female can start a group.
  • If you have a very large group, you may ask for a co-leader of you or your group's choice to be given Asst. Manager status.
  • Please don't edit any pages that don't have to do with your group. Thank you.
  • Don't copy someone else's page. This is illegal and you will be asked about it.
  • Leaders and co-leaders have to be at least three years old, no matter the species.
  • Spell check your pages and use proper terms! Make your pages as fancy as you want or as plain, just make sure they are kept active and up to date.
  • Leaders can control who is in their groups. You don't have to accept every mongrel off the streets if you don't want to. You can toss out any who displease you. You can try and drag home anyone you fancy.
  • No mixing of the types. Equids in one group, canines in another, felines all by themselves, you get the picture. However, humans are an exception. Humans can be in any group, if captured and forced to stay there or (if they can speak the language) by choice. Why? Just because my whim tells me so.
  • Groups that do not have any members two weeks after creation will be deleted.
  • Groups are allowed to create as many pages as they want BUT they must all be kept together and hidden under the main page. I'll say it again. Please group leaders, once you create your group, place all extra pages under your group (hidden)! Thanks - it makes for a much nicer format and easier navigation. You can also create a special message board for your group.

You may be given a small test when you ask to be a leader.

Some suggestions for the hierarchy of a group:

Herd: (The usual classification most people use even in the real world.)

((Mares are listed here first because the herd was led by a mare. The Alphas could be two mares or stallions, and are the Leader and Co-Leader of a herd.))

Alpha Mare:

Alpha Stallion:

Beta Mare:

Beta Stallion:

Gamma Stallion:

Gamma Mare:

Delta Stallion:

Delta Mare:

Scouts:

Mares:

Stallions:

Yearlings and Foals:

Pack: (These titles are made from Norse gods and are grabbed from a book series called 'Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter' - This is how the werewolves are set up.)

Ulfric (Leader):

Lupa (Counterpart of Ulfric.):

Bolverk (dispatcher of evil or basically someone who does the dirty work):

Freki (Second in command to Ulfric or Lupa, diplomats to other groups, protector/body guard):

Geri (Second in command to Ulfric or Lupa, diplomats to other groups, protector/body guard):

Skoll (protector or guard of prisoners):

Hati (second enforcer; second to Skoll):

Alphas (6 Superior members of the pack that don't hold above positions, usually the main hunters):

Other Pack Members:

Dominate (someone that is not a part of the pack, yet has impressed us and earned our respect.):

Pride: (These titles are made from the Romain and Greek counterpart gods.)

Poseidon (Leader):

Aegir (Co-Leader):

Hera (Second in Command, diplomat of tribe):

Frigg (Equal to Hera):

Artemis (The best warrior of the pride):

Ull (Second best warrior of the pride):

Hermod (The messager or scout):

Hermes (Equal to Hermod):

Hel (Protector or guard of any captives):

Hades (Works with Hel):

Cats (Other Unassigned Members):

I know big cats don't really form prides very often, except with lions and cheetahs, but any kind of cat may join a pride.

Settlement: (Pulled from the limited knowledge in my skull)

King (Leader):

Queen (Leader):

Prince (Second in command):

Princess (Same as Prince, female version):

Diplomat (Heads out to other groups to form alliances):

Magician (Healer or religious leader):

Lord (Given rule over Peasants or expected to train Knights):

Lady (Female version of Lord):

Knight (Protector or guard, sometimes field general):

Squire (Training to be a Knight, a minor guard/grunt):

Trainer (Because not everyone can train an animal):

Peasants (Everyone else):

Feel free to add further titles or change any of these or not use them at all. These are just what I use and what I've seen others use. Feel free to use whatever tickles your fancy! You may also create extra rules for your group, such as no going to so and so or talking to such and such, long as they don't violate the site rules.

I know I won't mind. ^^

Stealing Rules:

Any leader or loner can perform a steal. What you do is post on the territory you are making the steal at. Make a riddle or rythme, putting in it at least two stats of your victim. You don't have to use their name, but you do have to use yours and put where you are taking them. This is where having bios posted on the Character Board comes in handy.

If the leader guesses who you are trying to steal, then the steal is not successful and you can't attempt another steal till next season. You can't steal loners (but you can try and force them through battle or whatever) and only leaders or people they elect can guess at riddles.

If it is successful, another steal may be attempted if it is by a group leader. Loners looking just to control someone for a brief period of time can only attmept this once a season, no matter its success.  Leaders or those elected by their leaders may continue to steal until they fail. Then they must wait a season.

The leader being taken from only has one chance to guess at the person being taken. You can't steal from someone if they only have one other member in their group, and you can't steal a leader if you're not a leader yourself.

If the steal is successful, then the thief posts a message at whatever board their target is at, herding them to their own territory. Post an OOC comment saying they have been stolen and have no choice but to go. You then take them to whichever board you're hiding at.

Your victim has to stay with you for at least two RL days before they ask to leave. You can say no or yes, and if you say no your victim can challenge you to a fight for their freedom. If they win, they may leave and go where ever they please. If they lose, they must stay with you. Every season they may ask and challenge for their freedom in this way. If they choose NOT to ask for their freedom and say they wish to stay with you, then this opens up the possiblity that they can be stolen from you. Otherwise they have to ask in order to gain freedom, they can't be stolen until they elect to join you.

While they are with you, they are a part of your harem. If you are a loner, you probably captured them to breed with, which you may do so forcibly. In any case, loners may only control one victim at a time and groups half as many as they have members. Theives who have stolen victims can not have them stolen from them. They can lose them through battle with another character though.

No one may help a victim escape. The victim must stay at the board they are taken to until the two days are up, then they may go where ever the theif allows but are still a part of whoever stole them's harem. You can visit with them or challenge for their freedom, but you can't steal them.

Both male and females may steal males or females. Young may be stolen as well. Loners may steal from other Types, such as a horse stealing a lion cub. You may try and kill or breed them, as they won't have anyone to come to their resuce. But please don't kill characters that players really don't want to die, it's just rude.

If a loner who has a victim joins a herd, pack, or pride then their victim is automatically released from their control.

You may also let your victim go whenever you want.

I suppose that's about it!
