In the mortal world, I am known as Heather, a High School graduate of eighteen. My hobbys include composing literature, visual arts, online roleplaying, and endevouring into my own fantasy. I also spend some time with photography and web building. My interests span many areas; I have an undying passion for vampires, an ancient fascination for Egyptian culture and mythology, a wee obsession for bonnie ol' Scotland, and a fierce love for cats. No puns intended! I was born in '87, the same year of the very first Zelda game. I've been an avid fan of the series since, for it is one of the key origins of my fascination for fantasy. Naturally, I need not say who my favourite character is; Nabooru is who I am, after all! I started this group in the August of 1999 as a beta community for MSN. It had a slow start but has come along well. I created it as one group amongst others, but it is by far my most successful group to date. My past experiences online include a regular of MSN's IRC Kids' Community, an IRCop for an obsolete server called 'irc.chatarea.net', and a legitimate player Diablo II and the expansion pack. I was also a long-time gamer in the text-based game"Realms of Despair." There, I played the vampiress Pardalis Bloodthorne. As a member of the Guild of Vampires, I recruited many other members, represented the guild in the Inter-Guild Quest Council, rose to the rank of 'Guild First,' and became the guild's Methuselah (head of the induction council) before time won the better of me and I had to step down. I've gained much knowledge in leadership and communication from these experiences, and I don't regret the time I've spent. I've come a long way, but now a manager to this lovely group, I hope to stay. On the Zelda Group, you will find me a pretty optimistic, cheerful person with a keen sense of humour and a (lengthy) way with words. I am easy to get along with and slow to anger unless you really try to pull one of my strings. Speak nor show any ill will towards cats, stay away from political chatter and controversial topics, and most importantly, respect my staff, and I will respect you in return. This is all true to my personality outside of the group, whether elsewhere online or in person. People who get to know me better will tell you that I can be deep at times, compassionate, and sometimes a bit bizarre. I hold a strong value in others' feelings and sentiments and never wish to hurt them. In real life, I am terribly courteous, and though I regret to say that I have an agressive side, I've learned to control it and so it is a rare occurance that I should act upon it. I am relatively quiet around those I do not know, but I am capable of being wild and strange amongst friends and am generally comfortable in front of large groups. I can also be terribly formal. It's not something I care to be, but I do not hesitate to assume formality where I feel it is neccessary. Keep a head on your shoulders though, and you'll not have to worry about that. I'm proud of this group. While 'Zelda' is frequently the most active and populated group in MSN's Nintendo section, my pride comes from the quality, not quantity. Throughout the years, I have attained many wonderful friends through this group. Assistant Managers 'Sheik', 'Nintendofreak', and Rockie have been around here for a long time, and I have grown close friends with them over the years. One of the most fascinating has been "The Kokomo Man," however. He's changed my life in multiple aspects, bringing faith into my life, and great lesson which will make me a vastly better person, and I owe him thanks for that. The group has brought many great people into my life, and has become something more special than a hobby to me. No matter where the group stands in MSN's rankings, it will always be the best in my heart. I can only hope it will do the same for you. | If you've any means to contact me, my email address is: Nabooru@hotmail.com. Email me or contact me via MSN Messenger if you must. I do hope you enjoy your stay on the Zelda Community, and if you haven't done so yet, become a member now! It's a wonderful group, and more members can never hurt! Last Updated: July 5th, 2005 | |
